HRG Series 1

  • A neutral-grounding resistor (NGR) with optional pulsing function
  • Optional NGR-failure detection
  • Optional ground-fault protection
  • Front-panel information – available with analog meters for voltage and current and custom labelled LED’s
  • Wall mount control cabinet with integrated NGR or optional 2 enclosure solution with separate control and NGR cabinets

BHRG Series 1 are the simplest of Bender’s series of high resistance grounding systems.   They integrate a neutral-grounding resistor (NGR) with optional pulsing function, NGR monitoring, and individual ground-fault detection for low-voltage power systems. NGR health is monitored with an RC48N Ground-Fault & NGR Monitor, an NGRM500 Neutral-Grounding-Resistor Monitor, or an NGRM700 Neutral-Grounding-Resistor Monitor. The former provides basic AC ground-fault and open-NGR detection. The NGRM series adds AC/DC ground-fault detection, harmonic analysis, two ground-fault detection levels, NGR-short detection, phase-voltage monitoring (NGRM700), communications, and a graphical display.

When an NGR monitor is not used, Bender RCM420 or RCMA423 ground-fault monitors detect AC and mixed AC/DC faults through the NGR.  Bender RCMS460 or RCMS490 ground-fault monitors provide multiple-feeder monitoring to detect AC and DC faults in up to 12 circuits per device. The RCMS460 has common relay outputs; the RCMS490 adds dedicated relay outputs for each monitored channel.

Options include an audible alarm, a neutral-disconnect switch, and seismic rating.
