The ISOMETER® iso175 insulation monitoring device is suitable for ungrounded drive systems in hybrid, fuel cell, and electric vehicles.
The device reliably detects insulation faults, thereby contributing significantly to electrical safety and the availability of the electrical system. A key factor in its success is the use of an active, patented measurement method that allows insulation measurements to be performed even on a de-energized high-voltage system before the energy storage system is activated.
Thanks to the integrated grounding switch, no additional relays or contactors are required. Furthermore, the ISOMETER® iso175 ensures reliable insulation measurements even with high network leakage capacitances of up to 10 μF. The insulation monitoring device can be easily integrated into modern systems thanks to its built-in CAN interface. Additional information is available to support and simplify system analysis.

The firmware enables more flexible configuration of CAN communication, including the CAN source address, baud rate, PGNs and transmission rates. In addition, the iso175 supports insulation monitoring in AC systems up to 480 V AC (50/60 Hz), for example for ePTO applications in commercial vehicles.
