Before joining Bender, Jim gained extensive experience through a variety of unique roles. He spent much of his career with Square D, where he worked in several capacities, including selling to the U.S. Armed Forces at military bases overseas and supporting the U.S. Embassy Construction Program for new embassy projects around the world. His background has given him valuable insight into global operations, government contracts, and complex electrical systems.
At Bender, Jim serves as the Regional Sales Manager for the Western United States. In this role, he supports the efforts of Bender’s representatives throughout the region and leads initiatives to strengthen relationships with key end users, including hospitals, the Veteran's Administration, and other critical stakeholders. His focus is on expanding engagement, driving sales growth, and ensuring that customers receive the highest level of service and support.
Jim appreciates that Bender is a smaller, agile company with tremendous growth potential in a niche market. He enjoys the collaborative environment, the strong relationships among employees, and the positive feedback received from end users and representatives who value doing business with Bender.
Outside of work, Jim enjoys golfing with his son, Taylor, whenever he has time off. A fun fact about Jim is that he once fired a U.S. Army M60A1 main battle tank—and hit moving targets. His career has also taken him around the world to places such as Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Egypt, and Dubai.
Jim’s favorite Bender product is the Earth Detection System (EDS), because it’s a relatively new technology that helps customers enhance safety and often leads to valuable discussions about nurses’ stations and communication systems. The CP924 is a close second.
