Before joining Bender, Brent spent a short time with Federal Pacific/Line Power and eight years with Wesco Distribution as an Industrial Account Manager. Prior to that, he worked for 16 years as an industrial electrician and project manager in surface coal mines in Wyoming, gaining extensive experience in electrical systems and industrial operations. Brent began his career with the U.S. Navy right out of high school, serving as a fire controlman for guided missile systems. His work in the mining industry required resistance grounding systems, which introduced him to Bender technology years before joining the company.
At Bender, Brent serves as the Regional Sales Director for the Western United States. He manages a network of representatives and key accounts across the region, supporting customers with their electrical safety needs and fostering strong, collaborative relationships that drive success. Brent focuses on training representative agencies to effectively sell and market Bender’s products, as well as conducting site visits with large customers such as SpaceX and Tesla. He recently visited Gallo Winery, the largest winery in the world, where he assisted in addressing ground fault issues at their manufacturing facility.
What Brent enjoys most about Bender is the family-like atmosphere and caring culture. He appreciates that the company values not only the work employees do, but also the people behind it, fostering genuine teamwork and connection across all departments.
Outside of work, Brent enjoys hunting, fishing, and just about any outdoor activity. In his spare time, he can often be found working on home improvement projects or watching a good sci-fi movie. He and his wife love exploring their new home state of Florida and spending time with their two extraordinarily needy Goldendoodles. Brent also has four grown children and one granddaughter, all of whom he cherishes spending time with whenever possible.
Brent’s favorite Bender product is the iso685, as ungrounded systems are often misunderstood and challenging to manage, and the iso685 helps solve many of those challenges.
