Prior to joining Bender, Christine lived in California, taking care of her family full-time. She moved to Pennsylvania in 2008 and worked for Bender until 2013. She then left to work as an office manager for a medical company in Conshohocken, PA, then rejoined Bender in 2020.
At Bender, she is an Accounting Assistant in the Finance Department, ensuring all vendor invoices are paid timely and encouraging customers to pay within their credit terms. In the Finance Department, she helps prevent losses to the company, carefully reviewing large dollar orders (or any orders for that matter) to determine if the order can ship. She believes her most important role at Bender is protecting Bender's assets.
She likes that Bender is a family-oriented business that provides compassion and rewards that value individual and group performance. She also appreciates Bender offering events and parties to unite the different departments, promoting unity instead of individualism.
Christine and her husband own and operate a martial arts school in Exton, but it isn't your typical Karate School. They teach Indonesian, Thai, and Filipino Martial Arts. They also had the pleasure of having a Bender seminar to teach employees the importance of learning self-defense. She teaches hula, a Hawaiian dance she has done since she was four. She also gets calls to dance at certain events and functions in the Exton area. She enjoys watching and spoiling her four grandkids: 3-year-old twins, a 1-year-old, and a 2-month-old.
